Brianna Louwen is a Soprano from Perth, Western Australia. She holds a Masters in Solo Voice Ensemble Singing from the University of York (UK) and a Bachelor of Music from the University of Western Australia. Brianna sings with West Australian Opera Chorus, St George’s Cathedral Choir and Consort, St George’s College (UWA), the Giovanni Consort and as a freelance soloist. Career highlights include singing the role of ‘First Woman’ in Handel’s Solomon with the St George’s Cathedral Consort, broadcast on ABC Classic FM, and singing the solos in Mozart’s Requiem with the Royal Northern Sinfonia in the Sage Gateshead, Newcastle (UK). Awards include the Young Person and the Arts International Travelling Scholarship from the Department of Culture and the Arts WA (2016), Winner of the prestigious Fremantle Open Aria Competition (2016) and finalist in the Royal Melbourne Philharmonic Aria Competition (2018).
Brianna is a Teaching Artist with the West Australian Symphony Orchestra, Assistant Director of the Choirs of St George’s College (UWA) and tutors with the Oxford and Cambridge Singing School and the Perth Choral Institute. She is passionate about Choral Education and thrilled to join PCI for another season in 2019.
